Marcus Alton is the editor of this non profit making tribute website, which has the backing of the Clough family. Starting with Marcus' first emotional meeting with the Great Man, the book tells the story of his conversations with Cloughie, the inspiration behind the worldwide campaign for a knighthood and the massive fund-raising efforts for a bronze statue, which won the support of thousands of fans as well as many celebrities. For the first time, the book reveals how the statue fund nearly failed less than two weeks before the planned launch. The 20 colour photo's include exclusive images of the statue during its production.
Marcus has written this book with the approval of Mrs Clough. In the foreword, Mrs Clough describes the book as an inspirational story. She praises the fund-raising efforts for the statue and describes this website as a wonderful tribute.
Mrs Clough and her family attended the official launch of the book in December, 2008. Other special guests at the event were Nottingham Forest's European Cup legends Martin O'Neill, John Robertson and Garry Birtles.

Marcus' proceeds from the book will go to the Brian Clough Memorial Fund, which is run by the Clough family and distributes money to the types of charities Brian supported. On Saturday, December 13th, 2008, a special signing session was held at Nottingham Forest's City Ground, where Cloughie's European Cup winning captain John McGovern joined Marcus to sign copies of the book.

Said John: "There's no doubt the statue is a superb tribute to Brian Clough and it was fantastic to be there in November to see it unveiled in front of thousands of people in Nottingham city centre. I'm very pleased to support this tribute book which describes how the statue came about and is also raising money for the Brian Clough Memorial Fund. I'm sure the book will be a popular stocking filler this Christmas."
Marcus also signed copies of the book in the Broadmarsh Centre in Nottingham. A signing session was hosted by MSR Newsagents at the Broadwalk (Saturday, December 20th, 2008).
The book, costing just £7.99, is available to buy on-line and in shops, including the Nottingham Forest shop at the City Ground, WH Smiths, Waterstones, Central News and Cards in West Bridgford, branches of MSR Newsagents in Nottingham, the Tourist Information Centre (next to Nottingham Council House) and the Bookcase in Lowdham, plus other retailers.
